"a UNIX OS running BOTH Mac & Windows" applications ?

Rhapsody doesn't run Windows apps. I suppose you could run Virtual PC in the Blue Box, but I don't know if it would work.

If you used Rhapsody for Intel, you could set up a dual boot, and choose between Rhapsody or Windows (though you wouldn't get Blue Box in that scenario).

By best of both worlds, I meant that it runs Unix (with the look and feel of MacOS) and MacOS apps.

Can Rhapsody DR2 run on BOTH PowerPC and INTC platforms ?

Yes, though Rhapsody/Intel isn't out yet (should be soon).

Can it run as a (CPU) desktop , and/or , shared (CRT) system ?

It can run as a local or network system, if that's what you mean. It has the full capability of a Unix OS. I could run a terminal off a server, or could run my desktop locally from a server.

AND if not currently capable , can it be expected ?

I don't think Rhapsody will ever run Windows apps natively. It can do everything else.
