Jayne, I'm as puzzled as you are....But I think it may be a combination of things.... its been on a slide since it backed out of the Northwestern deal...

JMHO, but despite the Dow at near record teritory, small caps have been lagging and are down from their highs of two months ago, The market is jittery, Although the Asia crisis appears to be less of a news item, the market is very concerned about corporate profits and BYX has just begun to demonstrate earnings over the last couple of quarters. also BYX supplies a good bit of their material to the Oil field construction business and with Oil at such a low right now, my guess is that they are down in sympathy with the industry.

In an article recently in the NO Times Picayune...Peter Ricchuti Asst. Dean at Tulane Business mentioned BYX as a possible buyout candidate.
However, the news didn't do a thing to the stock price.
