I believe Michael addressed this yesterday morning on Squawk Box by saying that the decrease in ASPs was due to the decrease in component costs.

Apart from this, is it not true that for the past 10 or so years that ASP decline has been a hallmark of this industry?

History shows us that future successful vendors will be adding more value for ever reduced prices and these reduced prices will benefit the industry overall. In other words, only those with the manufacturing prowess and knowhow will be able to translate current marketing opportunities into bottom line growth. Are these not the lessons of technology overall and those that grasp the concept are extremely successful?
