I have Explianed how the point of beating EPS estimates before.

Here it is again.

Which company would you rather own,
One that beats Numbers by 20% or one that beats by 5% or one that just makes numbers?

If appearent trend in DELLs abality to beat numbers continues, it will report below EPS Ests in another quarter or two.

Now what generaly happens when a stock fails to beat numbers, regardless of how good the quarter is.

Momentum money runners look at things like this. When they start to get worried, they take $$ out of the stock.

As the analysts get better at forcasting numbers for a company, the stock is priced in anticipation of making or beating thoes numbers.

What would have happend to DELL if the consensus had been 44 cents. The reaction may have been even more unfavorable, that it was to missing just the whisper number.

I hope I have explained this will enough for you here.
You may disagree with this, but as long as you understand the point I am trying to make, we can end this here.
