Brian, When comparing AMD to Intel, I suggest you do a 5 or 8 year comparison chart using SI's Group feature. I think the results will astound you. I agree AMD has greater short term upside potential, but I wouldn't bank on it lasting too long. Even after its runup in the past 2 months, AMD still hasn't gotten back to its 52 week high! Reference the 8 million transistors--to me it only means that AMD has good process technology, but we all knew that anayway. As other readers has responded, the number of transistors says very little about complexity. Anyway, I thought we were in the era of RISC designs. Isn't less more? Isn't simple beautiful? Regards Len PS: Andy and Jerry have been slugging it out for a very long time. If you can't call a winner by now, you've got blinders on.
