Without VISA, CKFR didn't have a way to empower the consumer to make a point of sale purchasing decision on the web. Now we have come close to creating the Virtual ATM which is the thrust many of us were waiting to see.

Also, You have to enable other companies to use your products and services or risk being left behind. Look at Windows (open) vs. Apple (proprietary) operating system. Sure you may lose a few high profile proprietary sales but you increase volume dramatically.
