Who said they should have "unfairly attacked Dell"? Also, whether Cramer talked of "normal profit taking" in some chat session or on TSC is not relevant to my original point. On CNBC, to the best of my recollection, he put all the blame on shorts "painting the tape" on Instinet, claiming that it was not real trading that pushed the price down when, as I noted yesterday, there were several large blocks crossing at the lower prices on Instinet.
Anyway, since animal cruelty is a crime in Georgia, I don't want to beat this horse any more. If you want to help me understand how Dell is, it seems, immune to the Asian Flu, I'd be happy to discuss that. I know their component costs have fallen and they aren't subject to the channel inventory problems that hurt CPQ, but everyone buys imported components and GTW is a direct seller also, so they should enjoy a similar inventory advantage. How do they do it?
