Boston Acoustics has trailed off on profit taking to around 36 1/2. I see this a a good buying opportunity:

1] The valuation is very low. P/E of around 15

2] The company has a solid balance sheet

3] The risk factor of having a lot of their growth tied up in sales to Gateway 2000 will soon be lessened greatly. BOSA is working on new product designs that will be used by Gateway and will assure sales with this key account over he next year. The new digital PC product will broaden the market base to diversify sales and earnings growth. DVD and multi-media/gaming PCs are building momentum and are expected to be strong sellers this fall/Christmas season.

4] Growth is expected to continue for the next several quarters. This growth will occur at a lower rate than the 103% seen this past quarter but will still be solidly bullish for the stock.

5] The analyst and newsletter coverage of BOSA is starting to grow to the point that they should help to stimulate interest in the stock.

I see BOSA as a strong investment as both a "value play" and a growth stock. It is valued at a much lower multiple than the market and risk factors justify. The growth of the "digital media" market is continuing to take off on the backs of DVD, Digi-cams, PC gaming, and PC home entertainment markets. In addition, Boston's strong products will continue to grow in the traditional speaker markets.
