I'm still puzzled about how this CKFR/VISA lash-up will work, and still unclear about how it is good for CKFR.

Point number one: "This is a huge win for America's financial institutions, billers, and ultimately consumers," said Peter J. Kight, chairman and CEO of CheckFree." Nowhere did Pete say it was good for CKFR.

Point number two: Seems to me that every fee that banks pay to Visa for an electronic payment is a fee that might have gone to CKFR.

Does anybody out there have solid information on how this is going to work? The news release was exceptionally murky, I thought.
