Syd,
Funny that you mention the promotional side... :0) One of the issues that Bill and I discussed in Charleston was the very same subject. I mentioned several ideas to him including various business radio programs that I listen to here in DC, but are broadcast nationally. There has been discussion of an ad in Investor's Business Daily, and I brought up the possibility of a full-page ad in Individual Investor.
One of topics of discussion was the use of S-8 stock payments as a fee structure for meeting promotional needs. Bill is adverse to anything that may be overly dilutive to shareholder equity, ESPECIALLY REG-S offerings. However, I mentioned that I would test the waters and see how my readership feels about the topic. After all, it is our equity at risk, and our shares that would be diluted by paying for promotional services with stock. He is leery about the whole concept and would rather pay cash for such promotion, but right now his cash flow is dedicated to meeting reassembly expenses, and production obligations on Unit #2. When Unit #1 is online, he will have more residual cash to dedicate to promotion.
Let me know what you all think and I will pass on the consensus to Bill. My personal feeling is that S-8 stock used for promotion is fine as long as it not abused as it has been with other stocks such as IMEA. Promotional services can increase shareholder value through just what you say, getting the message to the unconverted.
I'm currently doing what I can at this moment as an unpaid "consultant". I'm in the process of generating a form letter to be sent to over 200 hundred interested parties that requested more info on GRNO mainly through the Stock Research Group, stockgroup.com. I will be inviting them to join my email forum, as well as directing them to the website and this discussion thread.
I may have committed the "unpardonable" sin of becoming overly affectionate toward my position in GRNO, but being the guy who usually roots for the underdog, I want to see this company succeed and become a major business. It has all the makings of a top-notch homerun stock over the next several years that could make all of substantially richer people than we currently are. We need to get the stock price up by spreading the word and company information. With full Nasdaq listing, which Bill wants in the next 6-9 months, the major players can get involved as well.
Regards,
Ron |
