OK, if DELL can't provide the ROI that is desired, where do I put the money that I
take out of DELL? Any stock symbols would help, so that I could run a quick chart
and check the historical performance.

Perhaps no company can, because everything is overpriced? I am a
strong proponent of putting money in the money market, and chillin'
until I am compelled by "striking bargains". It may be the bull market
of the millenium, but I can't bring myself to go long anymore. I have found that whenever I buy stuff w/o conviction, I end up losing because I can't justify holding the stock to myself(and sell out at
the wrong time).
best luck
