Sounds pretty cool to me. Here are their U.S. patents, some of which sound damn relevant at first blush.......
5674857 Use of hyaluronic acid to repair ischemia reperfusion damage 80% 5639738 Treatment of basal cell carcinoma and actinic keratosis employing hyaluronic acid and NSAIDs 80% 5614506 Use of hyaluronic acid and forms to prevent arterial restenosis 80% 5079236 Pure, sterile, pyrogen-free hyaluronic acid formulations their methods of preparation and methods of use 80% 5077296 Method for treating equine navicular disease with pentoxifylline, and composition containing pentoxifylline for administrating to horses 80% 5039521 Immune cell proliferation inhibitors
From the recent quarterly...... "31,703,780 common shares and US$4.9 million in debentures outstanding at April 17, 1998 and cash of $9.4 million (US $6.6 million) at March 31, 1998". I don't see anything scary there, but they will need funding ('97 burn was C$19 million) soon.
Eva Turley, their V.P. R&D, is a very respected scientist.
You'd want to know the skivvy on why the two directors "resigned" in March. Looks like it may be a find, but...... I'm a little distressed by the reference to an AK market of $240 million when they're talking a topical analgesic....
a quick $0.02..... take it for what it's worth.
