Your observations are astute to say the least. Brinker pushing
the market ever higher to support his own business? I cannot anyone
would believe such nonsense. Brinker has often said on Moneytalk
that he wants to call the next bear market more than anything else.
Sometimes I think that is what keeps him in the business, the
challenge of calling the next bear amidst widespread complacency
from New Era Thinkers and rampant bullishness. In fact, think about
it. If Brinker actually calls the bear market near the top he
will be raised to the level of a deity by listeners and the media.
I cannot think of any single thing that would make his day more
than calling the great bear. Besides, there is plenty of money to
be made shorting spiders when the worm turns! Who is afraid of the
big bad bear? If he is spotted in time he could be a big moneymaker!
