I agree about AOL. I used it when I lived in the Phoenix area, too. Hated it. From what I understand, they've corrected the busy signals, but the speed is still less than desirable.

I would expect that the techies at AOL are astute enough not to mix and match the AOL / Mirabilis servers. What you said is absolutely true. If the AOL content becomes part of the ICQ web ... ugh!

I personally have never used ICQ as a transfer mechanism for large files. Interesting concept, though. What in the world do you transfer that is 250MB ??? That's an entire small hard drive! I wonder if the rest of the ICQ users are impacted while that is happening?
