To COMS thread: This is from the Analog Devices INC. (ADI) earnings report: <<< "Our general-purpose DSP IC revenues grew 16% year over year in the second quarter," commented Mr. Fishman, "but declined sequentially following a very strong first quarter. This is consistent with results recently reported by other leading DSP IC suppliers. General-purpose DSP orders began picking up in April, led by strong activity from leading remote access server (RAS) modem manufacturers for our low-power DSP modem products. Our RAS customers include the largest RAS equipment manufacturers in the U.S. and Europe. . . .>>> Anybody have any idea who the modem manufacturers are? Even if it's not COMS, at least it may show that 56K Modem sales are picking up. Any comments? joe
