Phycor CEO Hutts' '97 Salary Up 15%; Forfeits Bonus


NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Phycor Inc. (PHYC) Chairman, President and Chief Executive Joseph C. Hutts received a salary of $586,000 in 1997, up 15.4% from the previous year, according to the company's annual proxy statement.
Like all of Phycor's top executives, Hutts decided to forfeit his bonus "to acknowledge the challenges faced by the company in 1997," the proxy stated. Hutts had been scheduled to receive a bonus in the form of options on 38,000 shares of Phycor stock.
