Well rightly or wrongly I sold my ASFT on Thursday at 3 1/2. TeleVantage without question sounds like, and in all likelyhood is a great product but I'm starting to wonder if maybe in a way ASFT is answering a question that not all that many people are asking. The main driver behind me selling was I was doing a net search on TeleVantage and finding a snippet here and there and then decided to do a TeleVantage search on Deja News. As the product has been out for 3 months I expected to get back at least a dozen hits with people either saying the product was great or it sucks. I was very surprised to get back 0 hits. Just to be sure about things, I also checked out usenet with Hotbot and again got 0 hits. I just feel that if TeleVantage was selling much at all that there would be a few usenet posts about it after 3 months. I guess maybe this isn't the most scientific way to think about this but I have to go with my gut instinct which cried out "Sell" after the search. I made out very well as my entry point was only 2 1/4. FWIW I put the proceeds in a little company called BITI which sounds very promising. I don't know if you've checked it out yet or not but the ASFT website has a .pdf Acrobat file that gives an extensive rundown on TeleVantage's features with a lot of screenshots of it. Another thing I didn't like was I have been regarding the March 3 Press release by ASFT about the joint product deal with IBM, Tech Data, and Dialogics as being very important but when I looked myself blue in the face at the websites of Tech Data, and Dialogics I don't really see any mention of TeleVantage. Admittidly a lot of areas of the Tech Data site are password protected so I couldn't explore it too good. On the plus side I did find a nice TeleVantage ad at Alliance Systems which I guess is an ASFT reseller asisys.com I don't know;... I put in a lot of time web surfing on TeleVantage and just expected to find more independent positive comments on it's potential. I know they won those awards but seeing a glowing report on TeleVantage in say PC Magazine would carry more weight with me than all the awards put together. Course who knows I might be proven wrong on swapping ASFT for BITI but I'm comfortable with the decision. I'm keeping an open mind and should I see the right evidence, and ASFT is still at a good price/value I'll be back. Dennis Miller.... "Course that's just my opinion... I could be wrong"
