As you speak, the students are rioting again in response to the sham that is Habbibie and his crony cabinet.

Suharto's resignation is only the first act in the Indonesian revolution (and it is a revolution make no mistake about that). There is much more to come. A course of action has been set in motion and it will run its natural course.

Although it is undoubted that it was mainly the power and will of the students' protests that forced the "face losing" departure of President Suharto I wonder how much influence the coverage of CNN + BBC had on the whole event? The students might have been helped by the fact that, at least in the UK, there has been virtually no other news and so Indonesia has been the headline item most nights.
