For those of you who have no clue who Naipaul is,here is some info.
His brother Shiv Naipaul is also a distinguished novelist,journalist
and essayist.
Naipaul, V.S.
1932-, English author; b. Trinidad. He has lived in England since 1950. Of Indian parentage, he is known for his elegant prose style, penetrating analyses of alienation, and ironic, increasingly pessimistic vision of the THIRD WORLD. He has written serious travel literature, The Middle Passage (1962) and India: A Million Mutinies Now (1990); novels, A House for Mr. Biswas (1961) and Guerrillas (1975); political essays; and an analysis of modern ISLAM, Among the Believers (1981).
