My field is computers, not in assays and screening.

The high-throughput screening assays require a HUGE amount of computer technology and ABSC has a major head of this department. The companies want to screen millions of possible compounds over many targets in short times (days). The computers also control flow of materials and do analysis of the results. Everything possible is automated.

What ABSC probably does not do too much, if at all, is screening based on DNA of know sequences (I could be wrong). Most of their systems work on whole, live cells. Thus the genomics results may be less important to them than to other companies such as Affymetrix.
