I read that it would be up to $20 million over 18 months. Seems a lot given slow sales growth. But they need to do something to get sales moving.
Concerning their advertising, two suggestions:
1)Try to make VTEL a verb, as in "I want to Xerox something"
2)TV ads do not convey messages well (Newspaper ads better). My suggestion for TV ad: Have a split screen with one side showing all the things someone needs to do to get a face-to-face meeting accomplished, with people rushing to catch plane, dropping a briefcase as they run, getting car rental, etc. and show two counters at top with amount on money and time being spent clicking away very rapidly; on other side of screen have people being very relaxed using VTEL machines for their meeting. Then start to show a list of all those customers like MSFT, etc that use VTEL. I think that would be more useful.

On a different note, does anyone have phone number for conf call replay?

One bright note of Q report was much improved balance sheet.
