re: Reno's statement

Let me get this straight. A company that resorted monopolistic tactics because it took them too long (10 years) to catch up to Apple is supposed to have the knowledge to fix the Year 2000 problem?

Mikeysoft has perhaps the best collection of PC Weenies, and they have gotten pretty good at producing business systems for individuals and small-to-medium sized groups. But their products typically fall flat on their face when attempts are made to scale them up to tens of thousands of users.

Society will not fall apart because PC applications crash. Society is much more threatened from failures in the "big iron" mainframe systems. Quite a reach for those PC Weenies. An even further reach is required to fix the embedded systems found in factories, utilities, and hospitals.

Talk about total cluelessness.
