I feel this way too, Gregor. That Fred has never been in a position to give the Lord the friendship and close relationship that really is the true treasure. Perhaps, like so many of us, he was given many blessings to begin with which slowly took his attention away from what is real.
But now circumstances have arranged for that, and it will be as you say. Since the Path is the same for everyone, even though we are snowflakes, we all know of what we speak.
As for Tom, bleeding profusely, I was thinking that he was like the woman who hemmoraged for years, and just touched the cloth Jesus was wearing. Tom's body seems to be giving out, but if he wants to stay here and people need him, then I most certainly hope that Jesus will extend the healing power given to Him by the Father. In Jesus name we do ask for that healing. I believe he or someone who believes has reached out in faith, and their faith should be answered.
