I guess when you said there is no comfort level you really hit the nail on the head. When the industry fundamentals don't look so good few investors want to buy, but in retrospect of course that may have been the perfect time. And the market of course reflects those perceptions. The disk drive industry is a good case in point. We really won't know if the bottom has been reached until after the fact.

The only piece of negative news I heard was on CNBC this morning. They alluded to a softening of prices for desk-top machines aimed at businesses, but I didn't hear the details or the source.

Greg, again let me once again commend you. In my opinion you are the most reasonable bear to visit this thread in my memory. Most come on with the strangest analysis of the business imaginable, and some come on citing all manner of cockamamie TA stuff. Dojis and crows and head and shoulders and on and on. Up until Dell's recent run to $98, all of those guys got crushed (except the few that covered for a $5 or so gain). Some, like the McNabb Bros. became obsessed, establishing short positions at around $42. As the stock moved higher they continued to short (although they were also selling naked calls which they claimed were exping worthless). I guess the point I'm trying to make is be very carful with this company. It has a history of rebounding very quickly!
