Dear j g - since I don't subscribe to CABOT [of the IOM and PRST fame?] I don't know for sure. However, SDSL [Synchonious Digital Subscription Line] is one of the latest varieties of the DSL family everyone is clamoring for. But then, since your name is familiar [XYLN?] probably you know all this <G>. Anyway, I'd have mixed feeling for the Cabot Letter starts pumping AMUT <VBSG>

In my prior post, I ve mentioned I took a position after Crossy has discovered it, but I ve left out [for a brief moment, I ve written it, but decided to erase it because I did not want to name names] another considerations.

After I got the story from Crossy, I ve asked a personal friend of mine in the Bay Area to check the co out for me. I cannot name names, but I grow up with this person, who is in the telecom field with a EE PhD from U of Illinois. Anyway, subsequently, he told me that as it turns out, him and the CTO used to be contract consultants together [in a different co.] He feels the CTO is a good guy and the co's technologies should work. Funny though, he is a bit more skeptical than I am because he understands the landscape is dominated by the heavyweights like PAIR etc. Also, he feels that the $30MM contract with China may be going to a distributor entity. After taking these concerns into considerations, I feel 2 1/2 is still a worthwhile risk. Sure, the risk of betting on an unknown can be high, but the reward is equally so. But then, it's me <G>.

I hope that should allay your 1st concern. As to the spread, I agree with you that the MMs are in control. And who's knows, maybe you are right about insider activities, unfortunately, most of us are not privie to such information until after the fact.

[offtopic] Please, the people in OR are suffering enough, making light of the tragedy in a public forum like SI really doesn't help. But then, everyone is entitled to one's expression.

Best, Bosco
