Read the reports..

The general public is buying cheap computers. The freaks buy the high-end right now. In a couple of months everyone will buy the 400MHz, but then the 400Mhz will be today's 266Mhz with a similiar price.

The deals in the newspaper are unreal right now. Why would I want to purchase on-line when I can get just as good if not BETTER (don't forget shipping) at Circuit City, CompUSA, Computer City etc.. TODAY right now? CompUSA is now building computers to specifically meet the consumers needs. I'm not talking Packard Bell here, I'm talking HP, Compaq and IBM.

What happens when you throw 10 customers in a ring and let 4 MASSIVE companies compete for their business?? What happens when over the last few Q's one of the companies (DELL) has made the others look stupid? Do these other companies roll over or do they apply more pressure? Compaq is a very tough competitor.

Aloha
