- Is there recognition by Government that there is a
real problem in relation to date discontinuity in
computer systems and particularly "embedded
systems"?

- Is there a government awareness programme in
place that sets out the problem, and has a strategy
for dealing with it.

- Is the government tackling systems within their
own control? Will they be ready?

- What specific action is government taking to
identify and promote solutions to the problems in
critical sectors of infrastructure (eg power
generation, transport, telecommunications, financial
services and defence)? And are there contingency
plans for handling failures in key sectors of
infrastructure?
