Jay,Page 1-Pat touches on a Point, I'd like to elaborate on, CPQ,GATE and DELL are experiencing sales increases in excess of the market growth. They are each increasing market share, from the cash poor "other catergory" which is increasing these companies' critical mass to levels whereby a perpetual growth and profit cycle is occurring. Remember, CPQ just reported sales gains of 25%.On the retail side, I have talked to the senior buyers or re-buyers of the following companies within the last two-three weeks, and this is what they tell me about sales july-oct: Sears is up 8% in units and 12% in dollars, Wiz is up, no details,Circuit City is up in units and slightly up in dollars,no details,CompUsa is up in units and up in dollars,no details, and Best Buy is down 8% in units, and 11% in dollars.
