Networm, I have never had any problem with Datek orders for NASDAQ listed stocks except occasionally there is a few minutes delay if the order is already marketable before it reappears on the Island book. I have placed up to 20 NASDAQ orders a day through Datek. You can always check your NASDAQ orders on Datek by running GRITCH (the Island book) for the stock you are interested in and you will normally see your order pop up there within a few seconds. Check for details on the Island thread.

By the way, MMs don't like the Island book and the fact that small investors access directly into it. It tends to screw up their little schemes so they will sometimes make life miserable for you by giving you odd lot fills (like 16 shares out of 5000 order) etc. That can be a annoying but the benefits far outway those inconveniences IMO.
