To anyone that can help, I am sorry to bother you with this kind of question, but QP has not answered my e-mail for over a week. I don't have QP yet because (don't laugh) I only have a 386 PC w/o CD-ROM. I have tried the demo and it seems to work fine with acceptable charting performance. The minimum recommended configuration is a 486. Is this mainly for scanning? Is there anyone out there running QP on a 386 that can provide some feedback? The second question has to do with CD-ROM. It appears that one is needed (although not specified in the system configuration). Is this true? If so, is it just to load the program and 2 yr data onto the harddisk or is it used at all times? If I have to buy a new PC to run QP, I will probably buy a laptop, and there is quite a difference in price for one with CD-ROM. If the CD-ROM is only used once, I can save some money with a laptop and external CD-ROM, which I can also use for my 386 PC. Thanks for any input.

PS: I will probably only scan a list of less than 500 stocks rather than the entire data base. So if 386 PC is ok, I may only need to add a CD-ROM drive.
