Lyle-- Yes, I'd like to see this thread grow. The more contibutors the better (stop lurking people-- join in). If our strategies don't mesh... I agree to disagree. Having a strategyis probably the most important part of DRIP investing. Your dollar cost averaging on the (more) volatile stocks seems credible. I'm currently taking a different tack... buying into DRIPs at a point somewhere near a long down cycle, and add to the position while its still down. Buy lots of shares when its cheap... hold for several years, and then close my position. Start again somewhere else that is out of favor with the market. Right now, trucking looks interesting, and some of the food stocks. In the past two years ABT has doubled, PFE tripled. Not the kind of entry point I find appealing. Regards, Paul
