Yup just as the post said because of the failure of people who the Romans had fooled understood Jesus as their Christ is why the Roman scheme has lasted so long and you folks continue to promote a lie because it's written in the bible. You choose what you will. God is my choice for me. Your bible is not very reliable on facts altho it does contain some very good truths. The church is a failure for its intended purpose of making animal man perfect. You have 2000years of experience with this theology. I live in the heart of the bible belt. The churches are dying a slow death here and morality here is about on the level of the old testament people. It preaches that better promised world and prevents it by the failure of majority of bible believers to give it other than lip service. Children see how their families live in all phases. Not just as a Sunday morning, Sunday evening and a prayer meeting mid-week Christian. Its members excuse their sin by placing the image of all people sin. Then they invent a man as God who was perfect. The childs concept of perfect is not the type perfection they conceive. They witness it in their homes, and know better when they learn to use the mind and reason. I have witnessed several suicides in my lifetime because some young girl in a Christian home because of her sin of motherhood while unmarried by mans laws. It is something their young minds have been brainwashed with, and they can't stand to tell their parents and get help. Many, many others have been forced into brutal marriage to an older man who took advantage of them. I even witnessed a man of the clergy living with a woman outside a marriage. I asked him how he could teach others when he was having sex with her. Of course it was ok for him because they only had anal and oral sex. She would still be a virgin in his eyes and it was ok, for he planned to marry her. Last I heard he hadn't. Seems Clinton had a similar description about oral sex. He denied having sex because his idea was different on what constituted sex. The celibate priest of the Roman Catholics have had instance after instance of the Holy Father taking advantage of the choir boys. That is provable in many court cases. Many ministers take advantage of older people promising them heaven if they will their estate to the Church. You don't give God money or material things and tithing to them is a legalized tax-free ripoff. If you want to give, give of yourself to make a better world. Giving to make a material tabernacle is wrong IMHO. Paying church officials takes away any indication of giving they demonstrate. They wonder about the preacher living in a home better than theirs, driving a new luxuryt car while their daddy tries to keep his old jalopy running.And Daddy gives that preacher the money instead of providing for his own as he should. He is embarrassed not to give when they pass that plate letting you know it is expected. You enjoy your churchianity and I will continue to try to learn to serve God in every waking moment. Preachers have been fired by the hundreds for taking advantage of women who trust them for counseling. Until we can change to living instead of teaching our religion there will only be more of the same.
