Joey - Re:" Any thoughts on CYRX vs. AMD as a better investment?.."

These companies are like football & baseball teams. They may fall out of favor, drop behind technologically, but they seem to have a dedicated group of fans who will "cherish" the stock through bad times and buy like crazy in the expectation of a "winning season".

AMD, with its K6, has re-ignited its fans who now anticipate that the few samples that they have shipped will be driving Intel's lawyers into bankruptcy court by next Wednesday.

Cyrix should have an M2 in a few weeks or months, and a few people have been predicting their 5GX86 chip is about to be adopted by every PC manufacturer from here to Mars.

Basically - there is money to be made on these stocks - AMD & Cyrix. Just a little ray of hope, the approachment of profitability, and the hint at "windfall" profits may drive these stocks up by a factor of two over the next six months.

Longer term - not so simple. But short term - easy pickings.
