Responding to "Also, with a name change, does the stock start trading with no price history, as if it had just gone public?" If they only change the name for the sake of changing name, NO. If they change the name because it is a real new company, I think so. I looked at one of my favorite sleeper, ssshhhhhhhhhhhhh, don't speak too loud! They just went public through a merger few months ago, and the stock has no price history before that time or chart, nada. Too many stock to buy, too little money to invest. Shashidev
