Mike, here's a link to a fund that shorts some of your most loathed cos. biz.yahoo.com . Some top holdings (shorts as of dec 31/97) include LCOS YHOO GTW. Could this or some other fund (net short) be a good idea for an individual who does'nt have the stomach for shorting individual cos, yet believes that valutions of many market leaders are nuts? thanks BTW here's another link (taken from whipsaw's stockmania thread) to a bunch of funds that can short.
