No, I said it IS in the best interests of the rich to help the poor. I just don't think the government should be involved. First, because they don't ask, they take. (And that's not what we teach our children, is it?) Second, because they have an OVERRIDING self interest in distributing my wealth. Third, because even if they did not have ulterior motives, they have still demonstrated themselves to be unwise and inefficient trustees (and I use that word reluctantly).
