kevin-- the DMT technology based on the C6 and CG chipsets isnt ready for prime time, it still needs testing. CAP has been tested exhaustively, and IS ready. besides, consumers will never know the difference and the engineers wont really care since the entire system is plug and play. for those that are closer to the CO, you will probably have DMT, while those further out will use CAP. of course, its also has to do with the line quality, though i am not sure which conditions necessitate which modulation. good luck to all, trey
