Rand: I talked to the IR Sally today, had much difficulty in getting through as the lines were constantly busy for the last three days. I asked her what was the nature of the busy lines. She replied that there has been a Magnesium conference. General Motors were there talking to MGAC amongst others.

I must thank you for putting this thread on Rand. This looks very promising. Appears to me that ALL of the automotive manufacturers are setting themselves up for a guaranteed supply of Mg. It is my opinion after studying the information package received from MGAC and researching Mg on the net that we will in fact see a ramping up of Mg use worldwide, particularly increasing use in automotive manufacture. The stated eventual production costs being US$1400 to 1600 per tonne would bode very well for this mine. By products would get their pricing down IMO. These are Potash, Chlorine & Salt.
Amazing that they are estimating 800 BILLION tonnes mineable with 8% Mg or approx 64 Billion tonnes Mg. Elsewhere in the information we see them stating 10% Mg.

Africa is certainly in need of Potash to revitalize the land.

This area is abundant in petroleum assets. I have been in plastics in my distant past and am optimistic that plastic resin production is a real possibility. On top of that, secondary production of plastics products such as piping, etc are a real possibility. With these thoughts in mind, I asked the IR a few more questions.

She advised that they are in touch with the World Bank. Makes sense that development of this mega scale would attract such help to get it off of the ground. World Bank and the Republic of Congo would like to see employment projects such as this move ahead rapidly in areas such as this which are desperate for jobs and wealth generation.

There is a possibility that hydro could be generated right on the property. The Congolese govt has some plans to expedite such infastructure.

My opinion is that we will see a deal in the not so distant future with a major automotive manufacturer who will supply big bucks to get assured supply. JV? or ? remains to be seen. But, there will certainly be some vigorous bidding. Could we see a significant competition for the shares and soon?
Just my ramblings.

Would like to hear from others on this thread.

Best regards.
