Hi David - I sold my 5,000 shares of Novell last year (after holding over three years) and took a position in SUNW. I think they have better management and a more focused business plan for the long run. I still have a small position in Novell hoping they can make the turnaround. Netware revenues continue to slide and new revenues from other products are not proven to this investor.

Although management is a bit stronger with CEO Schmidt, the BOD reminds me of the MU BOD...it just can not be trusted.

At this point, I would like to send COB YOUNG the "Chef's hat" as for overseeing the cooking of the books for the prior year (ie. stuffing the channel) and supporting the old CFO (who now has retired to Chef's school <G>).

Let's hope that all this is now in the past, and CEO Schmidt can move this company forward. We still need to see a "full time" CFO assigned.

This investor sees another round of company wide layoffs and down size restructuring so that the "new" Netware 5 revenues are more in line with future expenses. It is a tough call but it really needs to be done and the sooner the better.

Paul - I agree with your overview and your posting of revenues by product line was very useful. Yes, it appears that the down size business model is the one that may eventually work. Let's hope that CEO Schmidt see's it the same way too.
