Colin, I think the trend is more away from GP's to LLC's. I see very few GP's because the LLC's (in all the states that I am familiar with)offer the limited liability, but there may be some situations and/or states that do not. They sure better check with their attorney first whatever way they decide to go. Too many people "gag at knats and end up swallowing camels" when it comes to legal and tax advice. The atty fees for some good advice on the front end sure seems cheap compared to the possible damages if not handled correctly. Monty
