Sunday NY Times article on corporate directors - RE Bay....
Hope I'm not boring everyone by posting these small news items, but there was an interesting story in the Times today on corporate directors, how many boards some sit on, and how much they get paid. It just so happens that on the pay issue, there is a chart in the paper on the top ten 'payers', and it turns out Bay Networks is number two on the list. On average, a Bay director gets 34,500 in direct fees, and 309,600 in stock/stock options/pension money, for a grand total of 344,100/year for being a director. As the article says, not bad work if you can get it, the question is why does Bay pay so much per director as opposed to other companies???
