Jack, I think everyone who is really thinking for himself is bound to have inconsistencies in their political platforms. After all, problems of different sorts seem to cry out for different kinds of resolutions, at least to me.

Penni and I were discussing at Rambi today that we both agree that children should be more quickly removed from their families once serious neglect or abuse have been proven, so that a better outcome will be possible for the child than we have with revolving door foster care. This seems to a lot of people like a very radical position, and yet it is based on compassion for children and political ideals that in some ways seem very "liberal".

I think almost everyone seems to the right of Genghis Khan on one issue or another, and I also have run across that international date line of politics where the far right meets the far left (kind of a bizarre place to inhabit).

So don't feel too weird or anything!!
