I need some help with an old A T & T stock certificate. I have coming to me a few shares of T. The certificate is for 28 shares. I do not know the date. It might be from the late 1940's. I am looking for history of splits and distributions. We have found a proxie for AIT that states an odd amount of shares. Was there a choice when T was broken up where the holder could choose which baby bells to receive? The att web sight still has info on the T/NCR/LU breakout but nothing earlier. I will be going to the library later and will talk to my broker on Tuesday but any help finding out about this in the meantime would be appreatiated. TIA Cheers.. Chris.
