Alturism is not a good sign for runing a company, but is a nice touch for a research scientest. I would want the head of the company not only street savey, but hungry for profits and lowing costs at every turn. Its called survival in the competive field of business. Call me crazy, but I don't believe that a smart and imaginative, creative researcher who has no concern about how much money he earns, shares the same talents as a sucessful business-man, who wants to maximize his income by making the company as profitable as possible.

While concentrating on infringement suits is nice it is no substitute for making gizmos and maximizing market share with new gizmos to replace the present gizmos in the mill.

Lets give Mr. D. a nice plaque, a stainless steel research lab and a pension for life so that he can fool around, while the reins for FONAR are passed on to some go-getter, perhaps GE's or Toshiba's head of sales who demonstrated an ability to get business for the product.

"...No, his satisfaction is completing his
dream work."

Joe.
