>>>>>> Web Retailers Face Onslaught Of Giants <<<<<<
The more I read this sort of thing , the more I'm convinced that AMZN is one huge , screaming short that will pay off big when the hype-induced bubble finally breaks. The comment from Harmon about a two-year window for the net companies is laughably absurd. I would say more like two months. The curtain is coming down soon on these fantasy stocks , and the smart money is already heading for the exits.
My guess is any recent buying is purely among the uninformed and starry-eyed. Or could it be that Mr. Bezos has directed Amazon to use its new cash infusion (while it lasts) to prop up the stock, so that he and his backer buddies can distribute the shares to the sucker public in an orderly fashion? What would he have to lose ? He knows it will tank before long anyway.
