Paul, re:I am making a prediction that BOTH AMD and Cyrix working on Slot 1 interfaces and will roll out these products next year - along with a legal assault by AMD challenging Intel's Slot 1 "proprietary rights". AMD keeps insisting they want nothing to do with Slot 1, and that they want to devlop their own Slot A (Alpha bus)...I don't see how this strategy will ever work, and you're probably right in saying that AMD will start crying foul next year...I think Intel has made a smart move to cover their buts with the DOJ by opening up Slot 1 a bit now..They will stay maintain time-to-market advantages for the next 2 years even if they completely license Slot 1 this year. joey
