Christine, you asked me what I thought of Sam's post and yours, and I really do not know what to say. You have one opinion, and he has another. Sam seems to have studied a great deal, and there are parts of what he says that have interested me. I am not a Biblical scholar, as many people here would be very quick to tell you! Nor am I an expert on the historical events of several thousand years ago.
What you and Sam have in common, it seems to me, is that you are both concerned that people with other belief systems than your own are on the wrong track, and you both want to save them from the pain and delusion of false beliefs. Since the Ask God thread does not really belong to the Christians, I think everyone should be allowed to post here, and that we should all try to keep our minds open, and stay polite. |
