This problem is not caused by disk space. They are thinking about WIN95 which allocates disk space for the swap file as required. In Win 3.11, you have to manually set the swap file size.

You need to go to Main, then Control Panel, then to EMM386. There you will find the swap file settings. You should try increasing the swap file size and see what effect it has. If it will not let you increase the size, try doing a defrag of your hard-drive and try again. (Exit Windows and type defrag from the dos prompt)

Note: If the EMM386 icon is not present in the control panel, it means you are not running in enhanced mode. Exit windows and at the DOS prompt, type win/3 That will force windows to load in enhanced mode and the EMM386 icon will appear.

Good Luck.
