GD,
I think you completely misinterpreted Suzanne's post. She is long the stock (I believe) and, frankly, I think her post was excellent. I didn't find any criticism of you... so why are you so defensive? Everyone on this thread appreciates the work and effort you and others have put in. Let's not allow this thread to become a place for personal and, IMO, unwarranted battles. I believe her points were well taken and in the best interest of all long term stockholders. Wasn't that the reason you came up with the idea for a stock count in the first place? It would be pretty worthless if your count included "weak hands" or traders... wouldn't you agree? You seem to feel that anyone who questions anything or brings up a possible problem is the enemy. Wrong!!! After about 45 years of investing experience, it is my humble opinion that anyone who doesn't question is just plain stupid! She's obviously made her decision and neither you or anyone else has any right to criticize her for it. What she said was, IMO, very pro-TSIG. Unfortunately, you apparently don't like to hear questions or comments which you personally interpret as being negative. Come on, GD, this forum has been a good one with a decorum not found on many others. Let's keep it that way. As you said: << Do you think I really care whether or not a few people on SI buy the stock or not? That's not going to make the stock go up or down and certainly it's not going to matter in the long term. >>
You're right, so let the comments and questions come and let those with some answers respond if they choose. Buyers will buy, sellers will sell, and putting the stock in strong hands makes it better for all who are long. I'd rather see questions and answers posted than the underground rumor mill having a field day.
I certainly hope you haven't been offended by this post, but I felt it had to be said. With thanks again to you and the many others for all your contributions.
Best wishes,
Marty |
