Sam, I use the internet to download my qp updates--for 3 main reasons: (1) I very rarely had trouble accessing the internet site when I was trying the demo and it is the same for the full program download, unlike the frequent busy signals I used to get with tc2k using telephone access; (2) the internet site is less expensive; (3) the qp toll-free line is not available to those of us who live on the north side of our great undefended border [;-}. Downloading of the whole database takes very little time with my Pentium133. Once connected to the site, 2-3 mins on line at the most. Another 4-5 mins updating your hard drive and less than a minute to update mswin. doug
